Patty Schachter Biography

Patty Schachter is an Executive Consultant with The CLEMMER Group, a firm specializing in organization, team and personal transformation. Patty brings over 27 years of business experience and a wealth of knowledge on implementing successful service and quality improvement initiatives. Clients and colleagues alike consider her a master at adapting the spectrum of quality tools and theories to meet real, everyday business needs. Patty's expertise lies in weaving quality methods through a broad range of management functions, including Strategic Planning, Customer Satisfaction, Human Resources, Process Improvement, Training and Development, Internal Communication, Measurement and Review, and Leadership. Her specialty is designing and facilitating workshops and planning sessions for large groups.

Patty served Canadian Airlines International for 26 years in a variety of operational and management positions. As Manager of Service Quality for Airports North America, she was actively involved in Canadian's Service Quality journey from its inception in 1990 when she attended the Achieve Service/Quality Academy.

As an impartial facilitator, Patty designed and conducted many problem-solving seminars and workshops for cross-functional teams within Canadian Airlines. She was involved with the design of Canadian's Strategic Planning (Hoshin) Process, Quality Process Improvement Model, Quality Training Curriculum, and divisional and corporate suggestion and recognition programs. Her responsibilities as Quality Advisor to the Divisional Vice President included all aspects of Total Quality planning and implementation for the division, plus active involvement in Canadian's corporate quality strategies and programs. During this time, she was sought after by many Canadian companies and organizations as a speaker and advisor. She continues to make public presentations to numerous organizations, including American Airlines, Ontario Hydro, Royal Bank, Hydro Quebec, Kiwanis International and at a number of Quality conferences across Canada.

Patty formed her own management consulting company specializing in meetings, strategic planning and related workshop facilitation in January, 1996. She is a member of the American Society for Quality Control, the Association for Quality and Participation, a founding member of the advisory board of the Zenger Miller/Achieve Client Partner Network and has worked closely with the Canada Quality Council during the annual Canada Quality Fairs since 1991. Patty lives in Calgary, Alberta with her husband Josef and has two teenage step-daughters. Her personal interests include golfing, music, her investment club and community volunteer work.
